Have I really become a Targetaholic

So, today Carter and I decided to spend a day running some well needed errands. It started out bad because I had a list....but did not have the list with me. So fine I can settle with no list because I was starting to remember what was on the list.

-water socks for Carter
-weed whip blades for big and small
-gas can (only to have the gas can taken off the list)
-pop for Jeremy
-diapers
-pull ups???(Carter had the need to continue to say potty today!)
-tomato, green pepper and cucumber plants (ours are dead)

So we started out at Menard's....only to leave with only the whips for the big weed whip, one cucumber plant, and one tomato plant. Oh but we also had another Spoungebob ball(3rd one now), a sprinkler and a hose spray head.

Then I know that I need to get pop, and decided that I will venture to Wal-mart. Well I had the bad guy who kept telling me oh come on it will be fast, and you will get everything you need there. Then the good guy kept telling me, you are going to regret this! Well the good guy won. We went into Wal-mart, looking for a stool so that Carter can wash his hands, headed to get a toy car so that he would have something to entertain him while we shop, and the toy dept is completely destroyed due to their remodel. We go to the bathroom and Carter enjoys flushing the toilet oh about a million times. We leave the bathrooms head to get diapers and he starts to throw a fit. He throws a fit at Menard's cause he is sick of the remodel I think, now he is throwing a fit at Wal-mart.....so I leave the cart that has the diapers in it, and proceed to Target!

So is my son now a Targetaholic? I believe so. He throws a little fit there, but it is soon ended with a toy car that we found in the wonderful toy isle. And I got everything that I needed except for pop and the veg. plants. But I am so happy with that anyways. I will just give Jeremy $3 dollars for the rest of the week for pop. Why does Wal-mart do that to me? I feel like it will be a wonderful idea, and BAM its not!

Hey Dad.....can I try too???

Yup that's right Carter wants to be just like dad!

Clifford

So, this was a pretty funny trip had by all! Jeremy and I decided to take Carter to the Childrens Museum because Clifford was there. Yeah I thought it was going to just be a little section on Clifford, but it was pretty cool.

We had to pay our taxes on the way, so we didn't take a traditional route. After we paid our taxes, we went to the gas station to grab something to drink. Carter got chocolate milk, and we got pop. As we got back to the car, we see oh we don't have a sippy cup. Great, not only do we not have a sippy cup, but he has a white shirt on, and wants the milk NOW! So we improvise, Casey's coffee cup with lid! That works for a while until he starts to destroy the cup and now the cup has no bottom. Lately we have been awful about sippy cups, and we either forget them, or we leave them places (Church, Applebees, TGIFridays)! Plan B....we stop at a Target! Gotta love Target. We also had to look for a shirt, BOB BOB movie ((spoungeBob) because he is screaming for BOB BoB), and sippy cups! Finally we get back in the car, start watching BoB BoB season one, and we are on our way. I start thinking great....is he going to like Clifford?

We are headed down town St. Paul, and my husband keeps asking questions about what turn we need and well we miss it because he doesn't let me get a word or even street in while hes talking. So we continue over the bridge, and find our way back. Get to the ramp and guess what....I have no cash. It doesn't matter that Jeremy doesn't have cash but I don't have cash. So fine at this point we are fighting and Carter falls asleep. Wonderful right so we find a McDonald's to eat and hopefully get cash, well no luck. We find an ATM across the street so not a problem. After getting money, food and a little conversation we head back to Clifford. Get to the ramp, and well they took checks! I wanted to just laugh hysterically.

We get to Clifford, and look around at the other things, a little crabby with each other, and decide lets just go to Clifford and be done. I wish I would have taken a picture of Carters face when he saw Clifford. It was like he just hit Jackpot! He played, love it and didn't want to leave either.

And the ride home...he wanted to play with the sippy cup wrappers and not sleep. So he finally got a nap at 4 PM! Overall it was fun for him to see Clifford!

Happy Mothers day...

Mothers day was a pretty laid back day at our house this year. Jeremy got up extra early and made me breakfast, and then once again.....we worked on the house. I think that is a daily thing lately! After working on the house we spent some time at the park which was a lot of fun!

Carter enjoyed swinging

And the merry-go-round

Yeah I know I have been horrible about keeping up with NOT ME Mondays, but I felt that I just had so much to confess about lately!
Not Me Monday
Was created by MckMama. Go ahead checkout her blog. Its very interesting, and I love reading what is going on the MckMama all the time!
Back to us...
So we have had a hectic couple of weeks, and our house shows with all the toys laying all over. But I most definitely did not say "who cares".
After hearing a 'clunk, thumb, clunk' and opening Carters bedroom door to find him trying out for Batman, I certainly did not say "want a cookie" to make him feel better!
And I did not chase him to just get a picture of the cookie running out of his mouth!
After a friend talked about "Farm" a game on facebook, I have not become hooked on Harvest Moon tree of tranquility for the Wii. Nope Not Me!
Lately I have been at the doctor a lot, and when I say a lot I mean a lot! When I was at the doctor the last time, I really did not laugh at a lady who was looking to the sky and yelling at birds. After yelling she brushed off the poo they just dropped. Nope Not Me!

Frustrated on Friday night

So my so called lovable dog, that is suppose to love me unconditionally, hates me unconditionally. We have a basket that hangs on our bedroom door for socks, underwear and my bras.....why you might ask? Well because she eats them if she gets a hold of them. So what has she done.....she ate a clean pair of pants (my favorite lounge pants), and a super cute pair of underwear (that were clean). So when people ask why I hate my dog, its because she hates ME!

1, 2, 3, and down goes garage!

This past weekend, we felt like we actually accomplished something. The garage (aka the garage that Jeremy has wished would fall down for um...about 4 years) was finally torn down. Oh, but only to make room for the new garage that will house my vehicle. Only took three years of marriage to get a spot in the garage. Well we hope I will have a spot, since all the "stuff" that we have will need a home still.

Our house looks so small now, but at the same time, so much bigger also! And now we can see when people drive by when we sit on the deck. Oh and how stupid the house looks without a front door! But don't worry, soon after the new garage, comes a brand new front door!

Construction pictures just like you asked...

Construction is coming along quite nicely. I would love for it to be done, but we all know it takes work. So here we go....this is looking towards the living room/computer room. With the toy room and bathroom doors on the right, and the furnace/storage room on the left.
This is where I will be enjoying the time in the HUGE tub once finished. The bathroom or part of the bathroom with the ceiling started.

Carter's toy room. I believe this is the best room or will be the best room in the house. The finished ceiling is going to be a little awkward, due to plumbing for the bathroom upstairs, but Carter will not mind one bit!

Lilo come out and play...

Carter has had a new found friend.....mainly cause she has been out of her cage lately.

He loves to play with her, and sometimes gets a little rough for her.

But we are glad he is not afraid of her like he is of "bugs"

Oh yeah and we always have to feed her some cereal too!
(Hamster tested, Mother approved)

Hey look at this finger....

Old Kitchen

Last week our Kitchen Cabinets were delivered. Excited, Yes I am. I have not gone grocery shopping just because we need to use the stuff that we have, so that we don't have a lot just sitting around. But also because I want to go and buy stuff that we are going to have room for when we get our new kitchen. I truly love my kitchen right now, but I am going to love my kitchen better when it is revamped.

I couldn't stay away from the burgundy, so we are going to stay with that color, and it will have tiled floors. But I didn't take a picture of the cabinets when they came in, so I figured I would take some pictures of my current kitchen.

So your saying....wow that's small. You are correct. I am always telling Jeremy, Carter and Bailey to get out of my way. With the new kitchen, we will not have a table in because we will now have a dinning room. It gives us a little more room.
So you want to know what the new cabinets will look like, well here you go...

I wish it would be that big, but my pocket book is not that big so we will make due with what we have!

Not Me Monday

So, you are wondering why I have decided to label my post "not me Monday" well I have been following a few different blogs, which sometimes I feel like I actually know these people, but one that I have been following has been though a lot lately with her miracle baby.....and she is finally back to her ritual of Not me Monday (after being off for 7 weeks)! Oh yeah and my husband calls me a blog stalker (I call it learning what life is all about)! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. Go ahead checkout her blog. Its very interesting, and I love reading what is going on the MckMama all the time!

But you want to hear about us....OK, well here's our week in a nut shell.

So Bailey has been showing signs of old age, and Saturday she seemed to be dehydrated, or just needed some extra fluid. Well she needed extra fluid, got the extra fluid, and lone behold be got some fluid too! But I didn't want to grab the camera and laugh at Carter when he slipped and fell due to some extra fluid, nope Not Me!

Confirmation for my cousin, and a different church is not always easy for little kids let alone their parents. You don't know where things are, how long the service is going to be, and you have a 21 month old child who wants to run all over. Possible fix to the problem... M & M's. Yup a whole bag, it wasn't me who let him eat the M & M's before lunch, without eating anything else, nope Not Me!

And it wasn't me that suggested we leave church, because our kid was starting to get really antsy...Nope Not Me!

Boys will be boys, and sometimes boys just love to test their mothers right? Yeah that's correct, Carter enjoyed pushing the hanging basket, and continued to say wee wee while pushing them. It wasn't me who had to ruin his fun to save the flowers. No Not Me!

Along with Confirmation comes the dreaded question....what is everyone going to wear. Well I started going through a couple options, mad cause I couldn't find the one shirt I wanted to wear, realized it was in a tote with maternity clothes, and all I could think was what am I going to wear. I didn't ask my husband what I should wear no Not Me! To have him only start to help me look and find clothes with the tags still on, no Not Me, to only go and buy a new shirt cause I didn't have anything to wear, oh totally Not Me!

Carter screaming cause he wants POP, it wasn't me who gave in and gave him some orange pop, No Not Me!

So men frustrate me sometimes, and sometimes when they frustrate me I want to go shopping. Well they were frustrating me the other day, and when my mom called to talk, I explained my frustration. Not only we were in the middle of taking the garage down, but she asked if I wanted to go shopping, after reasoning with my husband, I didn't leave to go spend some quality time with my mother shopping, Nope Not Me!

While shopping with my mother, being frustrated with my son at times in my life, I apologized to my mother, that I was sorry for every thing that I had done to upset my mother, nope Not Me!

After having our foundation ground out to stop the rain from coming in, and having dust everywhere, I defiantly did not write my name in the dust on the entertainment center. NO Not Me!

Trying to get Carter into the house is a chore, and sometimes I try to ration with him, which doesn't go as planned, but I most definitely did not tell Carter we could play with Lilo if we go inside, and then not let Lilo out once we got inside. Nope Not Me!

While getting a little time for mom, I thought it was a great idea to paint my toe nails, well found pink and that was it, so I was going to paint them pink. Carter did not want to have his painted, then when I asked him he surely didn't say "YEAH" and Jeremy did not need to continue to say no, For sure Not Me! (And deep down I did not want to paint his toe nails pink, Nope Not Me!)

Playdate

Payten and Carter had a surprise playdate almost two weeks ago, due to having to run pants to someone because there was an emergency. They loved it as you can see!
