Fever, Runny nose, and cranky baby OH MY!!!

Ok so its been a pretty rough weekend at our house. First we started Thursday with Carter getting his second molar. Great right....well that's what I thought. Only to find out that the next two were not far behind. Friday he woke up with a temp of 102.1. We can handle that except we both had to work Friday, and with Jeremy and his back problems, he is down to 4 hours of PTO until January 1st. The other problem was that I was already at work. Jeremy called, said he had a fever, and that he is going to try and get out of work at noon. Hopefully daycare doesn't call until after noon if she calls. Colleen was very nice about giving him Tylenol at daycare, and keeping an eye on him.

Along comes Friday night....and we have a baby that has a fever of 103.2, and two very upset parents that both have to work the next day. He had already had a bath, but I called my mom and she said throw him in the tub (well not literally). So I did. He loved getting 2 baths in one night, and it did cool him down. But then he drank some water, inhaled the water, and threw up. That then made me even more upset, because not only was he sick but I was covered in unpleasant smelling vomit. And the worst part, IT NEVER HAPPENS TO DAD! So got him to bed, but lone behold, he was awake at 3 am, with a fever of 103.5. And I had to be to work in less than 2 hours. Since we have to work when we are scheduled, or find a replacement what do you do but just want to cry. I didn't have time for that so I got him in bed with us, towel on his head, bottle to chew on, and Tylenol. Fever was down to 101.2 by the time I was getting ready to head to work. Right before I walked out the door, it was at 100.0 So I was happy, just not happy to go to work.

Grandma and Grandpa Reintjes had him all day Saturday, and his fever was never over 101, so that was a good thing. Jeremy was calling all day checking up on him, but hey Carter did just fine. And Saturday evening he was able to see uncle Ben and auntie Devan so that just made his day. He was pumped, and super tired because he only had an hour nap. But we made it all night without waking up, and a slight fever in the morning on Sunday. But we enjoyed our Sunday shopping, and a peaceful evening at home. Slight fever, but we also popped molar number 3 through, so only one to go.

My mom kept telling me that the molars are the worst so I guess its down hill from here!

Oh and he is able to get into the recliner by himself, and sit and watch TV. Its the cutest thing ever. Smart little boy learns from his male role models.

PS. The roughest part of the weekend....It Is Over Already!

UgH School UgH

Ok....so somtimes life gets just a little hectic, and I need to be able to talk to myself. But really that means I talk out loud and I hate when people try to ask me what I am talking about. Crazy I know. But when I am looking at somthing, confused, I just need to talk out loud in order to understand what I am thinking. Sorry hunny.....just dont talk to me all the time. Sounds crazy, but I just talk out loud cause I dont have anything better to do. Ok...now thats off my plate...

School has been super crazy lately, and I feel like its test after test after test. I am doing ok...in Economics (both macro and micro), but its overwhelming. I am also doing Algebra online, which is fine, except that it has been 6 years since I have had a math class. Oh well right....the end is in sight.....and hopefully I will land a job, so that I can start making some decent money or at least get the experiance that I need. But for now is just plug away until there is no more plugging to do. And pray that god doesnt let me fail Economics!!!

Ok.....So I have been super bad at posting lately. August we were just super busy enjoying the final days of summer. So I guess I will just update everyone on what has been going on.

August was just enjoying the Zoo, Nicollet County Fair, and the State Fair. Carter loved it all! Especially watching Devan in the water fights at the Nicollet County Fair.

After all the fun that we had in August, it was back to normal. Carter is enjoying his new daycare, at first he didn't like getting left there, but soon he made friends and is now enjoying everyday. Not only was it back to normal around our house but it was back to school for me. Kind of bummed cause I really enjoy spending time with Carter and Jeremy, but I know that soon I will be done. If I can get past Macro and Micro Economics I will be in good shape.

Last weekend we enjoyed a relaxing weekend up north at my Aunt and Uncles Cabin. It was great fun. Carter enjoyed time with grandma, while we enjoyed time 4-wheeling on the trails. Carter went to the parade in Hackensack, and was able to sit next to sugar a yellow lab. He loves dogs! He was also able to get in a few 4-wheeler rides which he loves.

Lately Carter has enjoyed going to the park, taking the dog to go potty, getting to use the cool car carts when we go shopping, keeping mom and dad on our toes.......he does that well! He is getting pretty good and recognizing what things are when we ask. I think the cutest is the Car....anything with 4 wheels is a car.

I almost forgot we have a new family member......Lilo...Carters pet hampster. Not sure if daddy wanted it more than Carter. She is pretty good. Carter is learning not to throw her in the ball. But he loves to watch her in her cage. Bailey just likes to bark at her but she is starting to like Lilo also.
