Back to the Big Boy Bed Drawing Page

Well we go to a big boy bed on January 27Th.....all because he can't keep his legs to himself and he feels the need to get stuck. We have great results with the big boy bed until.....Sunday night (February 8Th). He normally goes to bed around 7:30 -8:00. Sunday around 7:30 we tell him its bed time he grabs his blanket, and hes off to bed. Great.....well not so great. He gets up a couple times, starts to play with toys, humidifier, knocks on door, well this continues and Jeremy and I keep putting him into bed. We finally go lay down and Bailey notices something in the living room, and here comes our son, running into our room (pitter patter of little feet), and the TV is on. He had been watching TV for some time. Finally I go to bed cause I have to work early and Jeremy continues to fight the battle (that he is not going to win). I had fell asleep just a little, and Jeremy is screaming at Carter, Carter is laughing, and I get summoned to put the big boy bed back to the crib.

At this time I am mad cause why are we doing this...Put him in the crib and he cries. So I rock him and after 5 minutes hes sleeping. Great....this all could have been resolved if he would have been rocked around 8pm.

But oh don't worry I am all about the big boy bed, and the success I have had with it, so we are back to the big boy bed already!

And success is what we have once again....Carter did fine last night in his bed. He was a little hesitant because he wasn't feeling good, but I sat by him and he fell asleep right away. Now if we could all pray that it goes that well for Carter and Dad tonight because Dad doesn't know how to put it back to the crib....so he is stuck with the big boy bed tonight!
